My wife had an ‘03 Focus ZX5 that I spent a lot of time in. I don’t recall the dash being particularly odd. It was made of that plastic they made Playmobil toys out of, but that was fairly typical for cars of that time period.

I’m looking at it now and it turns out that’s true, even though the configuration tries really hard to say otherwise. It says the “AWD with 2.0L EcoBoost Engine” is $3,305, but when you select only that and go down to the pricing summary, it lists $2,220 under “Options and Accessories.” They should probably fix that.
