The Wii U recaptured some of that joy for me, although what I anticipated most was the launch of a Dreamcast section on virtual console. Still Wind Waker HD, Splatoon, Pokken, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, and Star Fox Zero recaptured some of the irreverent fun that made Dreamcast so unique. If only we could have gotten a

Same here, and I totally didn’t learn my lesson. Xenoblade Chronicles X, while being radically different, still took me 50+ hours to realize that none of the plot would come together and none of the characters would become 3 dimensional and none of the gameplay systems would become rewarding. Stupidly played on past

Gamecube support was dropped well before Wii Mini. Otherwise accurate assessment I guess, but since online play for wii was shut down not too long after the Wii mini, that too is a moot point.

What’s the point if you have to plug it in every few hours anyway to recharge it? If you’re using it on a PC you’re probably next to the usb ports anyway.

Seems more foolish to buy a PS4 for Last of Us or Uncharted. The first is a PS3 game and the second an experience not too unlike Uncharted 1-3, (more PS3 games). Anyway, their not great substitutes for someone who wants to play NMS.

I wouldn’t get too worked up about it. When has a PS redesign ever been much cheaper or better? Every time it’s about the same price and features get cut. Now, PS4 was pretty bare bones to begin with, so it’s not like it’s going to lose backwards compatibility. Still, not much point in waiting.

Enhanced 3D and faster downloads. Fairly negligible upgrade.

“waste the fan’s time” Think about what you’re saying for a minute.

Replacing Little Inferno is more than welcome, but saying...

You seem overly eager to declare another “botched” pc release. You experienced some stuttering during loading? FOV controls didn’t work (but did)? I dunno... doesn’t seem that bad but I guess I’m out of touch with pc gamer’s expectations. The impression I get is you think just because you spent a whole lot on your PC,

Apparently this doesn’t work at all on PC at this point so it’s a surprising recommendation.

Releasing this 2 weeks before Federation Force? That’s just cruel, Blizzard.

This whole thing sounds like the origin story of a not particularly interesting supervillain.

The controller you’re referring to was available day 1, not eventually.

None of those are bad games, but that list REALLY highlights the lack of diversity in popular “hardcore”games. Except for Rocket League and Overwatch, all of those are fairly interchangable - near-identical gameplay systems and progression mostly all in medieval settings. Last generation was the same issue, except you
