I wonder how many PC evangelists (who ceaselessly point to steam sales as their reason for playing on PC) are commenting here. Because I have to guess they'll all be paying $60 for this one.

I know how unpopular it is to to question the the benefit of 4K! 60/120FPS! but the resolution, rather than making the scene look "simply breathtaking", sort of makes everything in the background look like a paper cut-out.

Dark Souls is fully playable without the patch. What is the point of even saying that it's unplayable, twice in two days, anyway?

They've been a disappointment for nearly a decade now.

They may be the same IP's and characters, but they are decidedly not the same games. Even games that seem very similar on their face (mario kart) are built from the ground up every time. Also, Splatoon. Also Wii sports last gen and a ton of innovative products in the handheld space.

Dark Souls 1 was THE best game of the last few years.

Sony's PS4 built up a huge head of steam over the year, handily outselling its competitors and earning generally positive buzz. And then the fall arrived, and… well, the games just weren't that exciting. Oh, sure, there were plenty of good cross-platform, cross-gen games like Shadow of Mordor, Destiny, and Far Cry 4.

When is this amiibo thing happening on 3DS? Is it working in japan or australia, where they've had the hardware for months?

I've owned four XLs and found zero defects on any of them. DS lites weren't great from my experience.

When you only have 3 lines of text to fill, why waste one of them to knock a movie a lot of people quite like?

It looks really weird in 3rd person - like the car and the ground aren't interacting at all. You'd think water would be coming off the tires.

I liked Blur. Is it anything like that?

Don't like it don't play it? This has been one of the most exhausting sagas to follow - it seems like it used to be that if a game was unfair or not fun, people would stop playing.

It took fully 17 months for them to localize the first one so even late 2015 is hopeful.

Considering the pedigree I'm pretty shocked they presented footage of the game in this state (assuming it will get much much better). BC this looked terrible.

Likely in development since Skyward Sword so that makes 4 years. That should do it.

Why would they be outraged?

Indies generally aren't releasing 20GB patches though.

Get a 3DS!

Nintendo unfortunately can't sidestep this criticism any more, which is ironic considering how much mind share they lost to Sony in the N64 days.
