For Capcom I'm sure it's pretty simple - they just look at the numbers for the last game they released in multiple regions (3G):

Sure, but that release schedule hasn't typically entirely negated a release of a main entry in the series.

I'm not doubting that Capcom has enough money to publish it. I am doubting that they have the marketing, customer relations, and translation resources to make a successful and timely port (compare MH3U on 3DS with it's nearly unreadable text and 16 month delay between Japan and US with Pokemon X and Y, which had same

Nintendo of America really needs to step in with the publishing duties here. MH4 was the most serious 3DS effort by a company not called nintendo (plus it sold in record numbers), and they're just taking a complete pass on it, letting Capcom tepidly slide out the game (almost) years after the original release.

I am experiencing sadness, yes!

It's been out for nearly 6 months already. We're looking at a 19 month delay in translation.

Really cool news :/

I haven't been following it that closely, but how have people been raving about this thing if it turns games into "a pixellated mess"?

How does this compare to Revenant Wings, for anyone who has played both? I somehow missed these two but I feel there's only room for one in my life..

Check the install base on wii when they released crossbow training.

Yes, and they are pretty bleak. Around 200K for November, which is historically the biggest sales month.

I thought for a few seconds you had come to your senses and said "those are all the upcoming games" underlining how dire the situation is for nintendo now. I guess it's all in how you look at it, but if you need to include Dr. Luigi on a list containing only a handful of "system sellers", you have to admit things

doctor luigi ought to do it /s

look up the price of a gyro sensor circa 2003, dumdum.

You straight up can't. They're MSRP $200 new, which is genuinely SEVEN year "old tech" (to borrow the OP's lingo).

You would be doing yourself a great favor by learning what "criticism" is (and not just how to spell it).

It's ok Totilo. I died in the 20 range myself, and I've played nearly every Zelda. Anyway, I have noticed that on every single article I've read about a new Zelda game, there's always someone who feels compelled to share that they died either zero, or one time. Not sure what the root of the phenomenon is - maybe

Eternal Darkness would be awesome.

Sure, we got to play Earthbound on the Wii U this year. We also got a passel of Super Nintendo and NES games, but there are so many more great games on those platforms that remain left off the list. Where are the Gamecube games? Where's the N64? Heck, where are the Wii games? Come on Nintendo, take our money!

Not really feeling that trailer to be honest.
