So... do you have a source for this? And what about price for the PS4 equivalent PC from 3-4 years ago?

You have no interest simply because you SEE them as kid's games - when in fact they're more sophisticated and nuanced than whatever it is you play that you consider "adult".

Serious lack of Monster Hunter on this list. Bit Trip Runner and Little Inferno are amusing, but MH is a virtuosic performance by Capcom. Admittedly you do need to devote some time to it - it really takes off after the aforementioned games are already exhausted.

$180?

I don't really get how running a game at 80 fps is a pro - it probably just means that you spent way too much on hardware for what you intended to do with it.

There are plenty of examples of PS3 era RPG's - Lost Odyssey, FF XIII, White Knight Chronicles etc. The issue is that the gaming landscape changed so dramatically in Japan in the last generation. When developers found that mobile games were more profitable, and less risky, they went all in - producing very few

This seems a bit naive. Surely it will take more than the success of one RPG for the entire industry to reinvent itself. Especially since this XV is more of a hybrid action-rpg, and with a budget no other company could hope to compete with.

It's out tomorrow.

You shouldn't. It's worse in every regard. I would just play "Thieves" again.

My sense is that these games are all fine, and will please their niche audiences, but won't give most mainstream gamers a compelling reason to play. Then again, Peggle 2 arrives exclusively on the Xbox One in just a couple of weeks, and may well wind up being the mid-sized glue that holds the rest of the Xbox One

The potential is here for very cool stuff. I can easily imagine an Xbox One that can keep multiple games in saved states, similar to how a smartphone works. We'd switch from game to game, always returning to the moment when we left off. Or imagine you're watching a TV show and switching over to a game while the

Not really because the failure rate of the 360 in the first few years was a big factor in the discussion about the console. PS3 failure rate was never much of a topic, so it's less relatable.

They are advising people to purchase an extended warranty. That's something!

Probably the most relevant comparison they could have made.

It's actually not part of the New series and developed by a different group of people.

no

I dunno - Capcom did some pretty impressive stuff last generation. Street Fighter, Lost Planet, Monster Hunter 3, Dragon's Dogma were all at the top of their game, at least on a technical level.

Plainly because the Wii U has been out for a year (and it's features have been widely known for 2 years). By this point we should be seeing some mature implementations of the technology that Nintendo gambled so greatly on.

You blow a few times onto the screen (which you've done on the DS for years), you tap a few times (ditto), but for the most part - visuals aside - this is an experience you could have had on any number of prior Nintendo platforms. Including handhelds.

Ya it's really good and nearly justifies the kinect. It's the spiritual successor to Rez - a classic PS2 and Dreamcast game.
