Next time you comment try asking yourself "Do I have any idea what dubstep is"

San Andreas and IV didn't have 2 new, non-backwards compatible consoles coming out days after its release. That could be a major factor in sales not wildly exceeding expectations.

State of Emergency was a Bad Game.

Did you ever think about how that RAM is being used? Look at what the Last of Us is doing with 256 MB of RAM, for example.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. It's a 16x increase in memory, for one. And a camera that can detect heart-rate and build a highly detailed 3D model of whatever it's pointed at. The tech is most impressive if you know what you're looking at, and if money was no object, I would be all over it.

Plus, it's no secret that most early adopters get the short end of the stick: they pay the most to have access to the least refined hardware (just look at all the spiffy redesigned consoles we're getting toward the end of the PS3 and Xbox 360's lifespan)—hardware that often doesn't have immediate access to such a

Usually I'm able to overlook things like that, but when you take the level of (visual) realism up this high, these things really stand out. Things such as: how the player hacks cameras to get into a compound that controls the cameras. The placement of the compound next to some bungalows. How a step stool is placed

You mean Peter Moore, the very obviously not american?

not "just like". Nintendo is following a hugely successful console (wii), and is still selling a very successful handheld. The same cannot be said of Sega circa 1999.

I so want this game to be good, and it's so disheartening to see an article with 30,000 views calling it a "disaster". And if you are one of the "angry folks lashing out", the writer included, I think it's a fair recommendation to get some perspective. It's a five day old game with a ten year plan. Maybe enjoy the

Maybe I haven't been following this closely enough, but it just seems unthinkable that there's such enthusiasm over buying a PS4 day one. I did eventually buy a PS3, but not until it was nearly 3 years old. That's when it finally felt it was hitting it's stride with unique exclusives, and non-inferior ports.

I really hope this is good. DS had such a great metroidvania legacy - 3DS still only has that one castlevania which seemed dreadful.

I have literally seen that comment 10's of times. The game wasn't even that good - I can appreciate that people liked it, but it's inconceivable that anyone would feel they couldn't buy a 2ds because of this puzzle.

How would you represent it? Does kotaku have an obligation to its readership, some clause in a contract, to feature the most ignorant comments they can find on their home page? It would be cool if that were not the case!

Very agreed. This is my least favorite feature on Kotaku, and this one is probably the worst.

wonderful! now I just have to wait for the postal service to get in from Minnesota to California :(

Well you may just see one in a year or so if this does really well. Either way, you're missing out on so many great games - at that point nearly 4 years worth - because you'd rather not be bothered slide the 3D setting to "off".

The biggest problem with that product is... it already exists.

Has Square made another great RPG? It's been so long. Might have to make the purchase - but I'd want the physical copy. Anyone know if that will work without a disk drive? Can you DL it and then just register it with a (potential) code inside the box? Haven't bought a PC game in a while!
