It's only "fucked" for gamestop, who have been fucking the consumer, and game makers, for generations.

That's quite a poignant narrative you've laid out there, but the one thing MS is doing differently in that scenario is denying the trade of that Halo disc. But like you've described, they built a community based on people playing games (like Halo) together. If you trade the disc (or sell to gamestop), how is that…
Because of the size of the games, and the speed of typical ISP's in the US.
Mass Effect 3 XBOX version is $7.99 today at walmart. It's a newer game than Saints Row 3. It's no surprise that older games are cheaper, regardless of platform.
Bioshock Infinite is $60 on Steam and has been for months. It's also been in the top sellers category for months. People are willing to pay that much for a new game (and by their estimation a quality / worthwhile game) knowing that it cannot be traded, sold, shared... whatever. So what is MS doing differently?
I guess microsoft just lost the cruise ship riding demographic!
Microsoft is still selling they're lower end model 360 with 4gb today. They are also much less generous with the expandable storage they 'allow' so I would say that wii u configuration is not that unreasonable.
Is your phone outfitted with a wide angle lens and permanently installed in the middle of your house, with the camera always on and continuously connected to the most elaborate server infrastructure in the world?
They did that this gen. Most of the XBLA games I've bought have been when they were on sale.
Seems like they could still sell new XB1 games. And Used PS4, WiiU, 3ds....
Also to avoid 40 gig downloads for the games, if need be.
great opportunity to share. Make some news!
It's an extremely limited selection. If the issue was my limited tastes, that would imply that there is a lot to choose from.
The first virtual console game I will be buying in more than 1 yr. There's something wrong with that, nintendo!
Any chance we will get this one in the US without having to wait a year and a half? Pleasepleaseplease capcom???
I really want to get into this series, but if the most exciting moment (concluding the trailer) is awkwardly jumping down some stairs, then not sure if want. And is there ever going to be more than 1 character on screen at a time? That could potentially add some drama...
They are both, really cool.
That is true and majorly ridiculous considering it's meant to be played with a controller. I've had the game for years and periodically reinstall it to see if they patched controller support, but I don't think it's going to happen.
Much easier to pump up the graphics if the camera is controlled by the artists.
