Pretty much. Not my cup of tea, but I can appreciate how people who like the idea of a strategy game, but can’t/don’t want to handle all that clicking, can have a good time with this, sending all these cute little guys off to die in cute little sparkly explosions.

Gears of War would work a lot better as a Dawn of War II-style game, with small squads, gear, real characters, etc, than a conventional RTS.

Halo definitely doesn’t have the stopping power it used to, which is a huge shame since Halo 5 (from a gameplay standpoint) is one of the best games in the series.

Every system this generation lacks games. Xbox is worst off though if you ask me. Halo and Gears of War no longer have the stopping power they used to in the gaming industry. Microsoft continues exclusive games that no longer hold their former popularity. People moved on. Sony is an offender but they have much better…

Using Steam’s genre tags is even worse :(

Yep. It’s pretty frustrating trying to search for new strategy games to play because of the breadth of the genre. Googling “Games like Anno 1404" is getting old...

Yeah, Anno is a tough one to place. I mean, you could argue Football Manager is a strategy game and I’d nod my head.
