Are you trying to run wires these in the wall horizontally or vertically? If vertically, you need a flexible drill bit. If horizontally you will definitely need drywall patching skills, lol.

I can help with the last one, it's an easy fix, but not necessarily cheaper than getting the cable guy out, and definitely not better than having a new drop laid and buried.

Just for fun, this (or something like it) is a nice easy way to get a well prepared turkey while also leaving your oven available for cooking various Thanksgiving casseroles and what-have-you. Also great for ribs (just finish them on a grill) and standing rib roasts.

It wasn't a specific example, just a reply to the mushroom club story. What did old boy expect was on the mushroom club? To be fair I'd never heard of a mushroom club, but I can imagine that there is some fungus or another. Mushrooms seem a likely culprit.
