It is mid-engined though, so you'd expect intake scoops on the sides. I'm guessing that the scoop at the bottom of the bumper is for air intake, and there is a tunnel running along the bottom of the car. No evidence for this, just a wild guess.

Yes. There is one inside 5 minutes of my house, 2 more inside a 1/2 hour round trip, and at least 5 inside a 1/2 hour drive one way, that I can think of.

I'm with you, in my small (<2500 people) hometown there was a pizza joint that had a BLT pizza that, when stoned brainless, was fucking amazing. It was so good to the point that it was incomprehensible that, when we got high, we wouldn't go get it.
