Wait. So is Jalop complaining about the right wing aspect? or is it that it wasn’t a “coup” and a snarky “oh yeah? well xyz” by Musk is what’s drawing ire. Or is it that he said he supports the right wing coup which somehow supports socialism (left wing???) and jalop is angry because socialism is apparently working rig

It’s clearly a f*ckin joke. A sarcastic tweet he probably sent without considering the connotations/definitions that can be implied from a simple smart-ass retort. Just look at my comment history lol.

_insert thick Russian accent here_

No, I did not say that. Did you even read the entire comment before posting this salty response? I’m pretty sure I said “failures, misfortunes” in addition to the successes. Also, if you would look at my other comment, you would know what I mean. You cannot look at a person’s position in the world without considering

Why wouldn’t it?

Not saying they don’t but my point above still stands...

Idk... other giants?

Ah, but I didn’t say that. I think the individual people whom history remembers just happened to do the right things at the right time. They weren’t necessarily any smarter, more capable, or more charismatic than those around them, they just happened to be the “right” (or wrong depending on how you look at it) person

Nah, you’re good. :) I appreciate the extra info. I think it does really drive home just how important this issue is.

I think this only applies to the super wealthy 1%. Saying that merit will get you no where in life is pessimistic at best and jealousy at least.

Ha! You think the average middle class family “lucks” into shit? If I’m making something of my life it’s because my father has worked his ass off every waking minute of his life. He was the first in his family to go to college and he held multiple jobs to pay his way through.

No. Nobody in their right mind thinks that an entire person can be judged by a single moment or that people do not develop/change. I’m not defending their actions, this video shows they are undeniably morons, but saying that they’re unworthy of whatever work they’ve put into life is foolish at the very least.

Oh no, not rich businesspeople. It’s not as if history is defined by single people making large advancements or anything...

Lol. Correct about the scientist part. And a bit about the end, but isn’t that everyone who starts a company that grows? Isn’t the mark of someone who knows what their doing, the fact that they know when to hand a job off to someone more experienced/specialized than they are?

Wait. What? Maybe they earned it by... oh I don’t know... earning it? How else do you phrase that? Yes, they’re morons for being this irresponsible but I don’t see how this act implies they got the money to buy a car by doing anything other than what the average American does to buy a car...

Yep. I probably should’ve been clearer/more concise. Thank you for clarifying :)

EXACTLY. And a lot of them are decent people. Most of them don’t litter the back-country with discarded beer cans and shoot whatever moves asa lot of people seem to believe. They care about nature and are respectful of it’s power and beauty. The infuriating part is that they don’t apply that logic to the larger

To be honest, a lot. I think for those of younger generations (millennial and onwards) who believe in climate change use logic like a non-delusional human being, it’s kind of a looming thing on the horizon. I live/have lived in the US for quite a while and the difference within a decade is noticeable. It used to snow

Why do you say that? He’s just being smart! Obviously he’s a man of the people!

Can I just say this is my personal COTD? You have a way with words and this comment just flows very nicely!
