Roadster and Cybertruck are not here, I don’t expect them to be for some time. However, the Solar Roof and Tesla home battery packs are available for purchase and installation. You just might have a risk of spontaneous and unexplained combustion. Also, the Semi appears to be a fully functional prototype, even making

It’s like he’s possessed and Trump is speaking through him. Like he has no soul, just an empty husk. When words go in, they come out strangely... not quite Trump, but so close that I want to perform an exorcism to see if Pence actually has his own personality or whether Trump is capable of demonic possession (answers:

I don’t lane-split, even when legal, but I wonder how these systems will react to it. However, I think it’s important to mention that the consequences for Ducati screwing up a line of code, or having any kind of system malfunction, is a lot higher. I still think this has a lot of great potential tho :)

Yeah. I’d be worried of the same. I can see it preventing wrecks with the less attentive though- there’s plenty of evidence on YouTube...

Oh wow. I thought I was the only one (or going insane). I saw a video on YouTube a while ago on it, apparently it’s like what you said, it will start as a shimmy and then just pull. Kind of a similar effect to what happens with high-hp sports bikes, where the front wheel loses traction and starts shimmying/wobbling

Thank you. I stand corrected. Still absolutely insane though.

Who cares? It’s what we live for! (kinda)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Jalopnik article about how the Ford f-150's death wobble still hasn’t been fixed (last i checked).

I honestly am not sure why they lend vehicles to Jalopnik any more. I enjoy the site, it’s entertaining, but it is nowhere near the calibre required for a serious auto-journalism

^^Fucking this man. Jalop keeps expecting a response from all of these big name auto manufacturers when they are barely more than a blog. An admission they have used as a defense. Also NO SHIT Tesla of all companies doesn’t want to talk to them...

Huh. I like your answer. And I agree. It’s always crazy how human engineering can put us in those crazy situations to begin with, but can get us out too.

Also, by the time the back wheels get to where the front wheels were, the car is already going 100 miles an hour. And Top Fuel dragsters may look long, but their wheel-base is only slightly longer than your average car: ~130 inches. Imagine that, 100 mph, in 130 inches.

Ah, I hadn’t thought of that before. haha

I feel like Volvo is still riding the “Volvos are reliable” thing from the 200s, 700s, and 900s, or maybe it’s just me...

Yeah, but if people hear “Model E” they might equate it with Tesla. That’s consumer disinformation that Ford could benefit from.

What those drivers go through is insane. I think the FunnyCar/TopFuel drivers experience around 4-5 Gs during acceleration, around 6-7 Gs when the clutch drops, and (-) 7 plus Gs during deceleration.

Yeah. I think their logic is more along the lines of trying to avoid glorifying the crashes as the only interesting/impressive/good thing about motorsports. Which tbf isn’t. At the same time, it’s not not interesting... morbid curiosity or maybe it’s cathartic?

I’m not entirely sure but I think I can answer that in part. I saw this Hoonigan vid. a while ago where they toured Hendricks NHRA HQ and met/interviewed Leah Pruett (who actually seems like a really cool person). In it, they said something about how the reward for winning a race is only about $50,000 and the money

^^This right here, is very accurate. cotd for me haha.

That’s actually a really good point. Musk has acknowledged that much of what you have said above is a legitimate concern for Tesla. He has also said, however, that even if Tesla does go under, at least the goal of making EVs widespread has been accomplished.
