Did we have empathy for him though? He threw Morty under the bus faster than Dan Harmon can start monologuing…

I think they are laying on it so heavily because they have to, if they want the pay off to resonate. I don't think the writers have dropped the ball before, so i believe they are going this dark with intent. I personally have enough faith in them that it is going to pay off.

The mad max episode was maybe more on the "fun" side of the spectrum. Also probably the weakest of the season for me. I loved seeing all the designs though

and Logic sucks, which makes it even less funny

I was thinking about this too as i was watching. There is something to be said about the charm of those earlier episodes, but i think as the story of the world and rick's demons develop, its harder for them to right a "fun" episode with rick. Kinda like how once we find out ice king's tragic history in adventure time,

Yeah, making a comic costs like 1/1000th of what making a movie costs? Why would they stop now?

Now you can hang out in the comic app while you're mom shops!

Hickman is mad because he wrote two of the best versions of FF in probably a decade, the second of which marvel switched him off of before he could give it a proper conclusion

I thought it was supposed to be kind of dumb? His character is sweet and earnest as spiderman's roommate, but I've only seen his powers and name used as jokes ( i don't read many x men comix though)

Bendis' run on ultimate X-Men is incredible too. He had some career highlight issues in there….

I could see both sides, especially since marvel probably makes way, way more money off the movies. But that could go both ways given that they have little to lose by continuing to make good x-men/fantastic four comics. It could also be the extreme popularity of Ms. Marvel, who's technically an inhuman, and theyre just

I've always thought they've done a good job of balancing his monstrous qualities with his well meaning qualities. I am taking this seasons darker turn as the consequences of the season 2 finale/season 3 premier

I hate brushing my teeth. I would consider it work when i could be lying in bed instead ( brush and floss in the morning)

Ignore previous comment. Did not read down far enough haha

For that conversation to happen, would fundamentally change Rick as a character. Do we really want that?

Totally fair if it doesn't work for you. I would argue that it actually was using juxtaposition (and everything else mentioned above) because the therapy session is meant to contrast what could be the craziest fighting we've seen on this show. That speech was the final nail in the coffin of this week's themes. It was

I agree if there are any mods ever going to see this. I took that at face value and haven't come back in 8 months lol

If you haven't already seen it by now, the sex scenes are basically non-existent. Light making out cut to after the act is done.

It's not that hard to make great films on a regular basis?

I know it's not really fair to tell someone in an internet comment section to go read a book, but i really can't recommend it highly enough and it'll pretty much completely change how you think about recent pixar (in a good way i think.) But the short version is they put people that they've worked with for years in
