Two others deserve special mention: Gerald's Game read by Lindsay Crouse, which is just wow. And then there is Insomnia, which is read by Eli Wallach. That's a double dose, because the book is one of King's finest ever, and Eli Wallach is Eli Fucking Wallach. To listen to him narrate for 25 hours was a real treat.

The King audio books are almost always excellent. He's an enthusiast for the medium, so I don't know if that's got anything to do with why they usually have top notch narrators and production values. The book is actually quite good. The audio version read by Campbell Scott is excellent. It's not lesser King at all, and I'd highly recommend it.
