I think it's really collapsed under the weight of the 5-minutes here, 5-minutes there style of storytelling. It just cannot sustain over such a long haul, bleeding so much interest in so many different ways. It's reduced me to only really caring about a few stories, a couple of which they have completely screwed up…

Regardless of the ultimate point, to just keep showing a character in repetitive situations that never get more interesting is very bad storytelling. ID4 is one of my favorite bad movies of all time, but the trailer for this new one just looks straight up bad. I wonder if that's a difference in the movies, a difference in me, or just a difference in the times in which they were both released?

Still, I suppose if The Waif really is Arya's Tyler Durden, then nothing they've done can't be explained as being in Arya's head (and would explain how Arya could walk gut stabbed, and why the people of Braavos looked at her as if she were just crazy and soaking wet, rather than also bleeding out).
