Western Fashion is far from representative of all global Fashion. There are high end designers making “traditional outfits” that host their own runway shows featuring garments that cost thousands and thousands of US dollars, just like fashion shows in the US and Europe. Maybe Vogue Arabia features those clothes?!

Arab women love fashion. Who are you to decide this region should have nothing to do with fashion! Yes in Saudi Arabia they cannot wear these clothes out in the open, but they wear it indoors. People adapt to situations and power structures. Yes, things have to change in Saudi and many other middle eastern countries,

Listen, if you can’t see why lumping all Arab women and countries into one category is a problem then I can’t help you.

Surely there are some children out there you should be thinking of.

Let me guess? Never travelled outside the US?

I’m reading a website filled with celebrity gossip and sex and fashion in a country where the president is a rapist. It’s not clear where you’re writing from, but it’s pretty likely that it’s a lousy place to be a woman as well. Middle Eastern women are capable of navigating these choices themselves, just as we are.

Even in KSA, they can and do wear all of these clothes. Even the abayas are designer.

Man you’ve obvi never been to Dubai. or Beirut. or Cairo. Or Istanbul. That all have thriving fashion industies. But all arabs are the same, we’re all al-Qaeda. Yep.

I don't even like wearing too tight pants. Man.
