It sucks that the meat is likely from awful sources, but it's definitely more satiating than a salad without dressing.
The choice offered at most sit-down restaurants make them incomparable to fast food. Fast food limits me mostly to things with buns, or tasteless salads with huge packets of dressing made from soybean oil and HFCS. At a restaurant I can get steak and potatoes with a salad that actually tastes good.
