While some amount of concern about germs and the like is probably necessary considering the huge number of different people we come into contact with every day, I agree that the general mysophobia has gone a bit far.

Suggestions to graze all day conflict with the research showing the benefits of intermittent fasting. Eat more fat and protein and fewer simple carbs and your blood sugar will effectively regulate itself.

I do have the NAS (Debian wheezy), but only one XBMC box, so no fancy syncing for me. :(

The custom home screen icons I think can be set (depending on the skin) by setting favorites up. I've never done this, though.
He means Reader, Flash, etc.—the most commonly exploited parts of browsers.
