That’s incorrect. Even against omicron evidence indicates the vaccines are 30-40% effective at preventing infection.
Personally I have no issue with Canada closing its borders to non-vaccinated people. They have decided it’s in the best interest of public health for their country to do so. Truck drivers are free to get the vaccine, or look for a job that doesn’t require it.
Or, because of people who don’t want to get vaccinated.
