Those last two are for real?? Look I'm not even bitter that the movies are too cool to acknowledge their little-bro tv shows if the shows themselves go out of their way like this to tie together.

Nah that's been explicitly laid out as doctrine since Vatican II

The Orthodox tradition of doctrine, as I've been told, is fundamentally mystical (think pseudo-Dionysius), while we Catholics have a more fundamentally scholastic doctrinal tradition (think Aquinas).

This is why it's a bad idea to think that you can read the Bible as if it exists as an isolated entity.

Thanks for this; I have really enjoyed the show (which apparently means I'm in the minority?) but seeing all the connections laid out like this definitely adds to my enjoyment. This is very helpful.
