As we approach the school year, I suggest someone write an article in early August on the best way for university folks to use iPads & iPhones to get their books rollin' on there. Of course you can grab textbooks as the become available on iBooks, but I don't think many are there now, and while you can import to

Anyone else who pre-ordered 32s early in the morning on the 15th a back-order in AT&T's system? I think AT&T might have updated the order later, causing it to get pushed back.

@Paradise: Thanks for agreeing, I'm just saying that the 2G vs. 3G is still the same form factor. 3G was an evolution, just as 3GS was.

@chinwusu: Just playing devil's advocate. I think Gizmodo is trying to say that they've made Apple money through the leak, but I don't think that was the case. All this said, I don't really know and am just using intuition.

@veronykah: Well, I started a couple years ago and it was a very long time then, but more recently I think i did 100GB in a week or so using Comcast 50down/10up connection.

@ioos: $5 a month, a bit less actually if you pay for a year or two.

@craiglloyd: Almost everything I've tried works, but BC Reader (business card reader) seems to crash for me upon completion of the scan.

@SaturdayMorning: I must be defective, I can never see these things...

I really like iWork from Apple. At first I wasn't so sure, but the reliability, precision and general sensibility makes them work well. I do however use Excel extensively.

A brand new '86 Nissan Maxima with its talking system, auto escalating volume control, alarm, power everything (including seatbelts), and a pretty nice engine definitely influenced me. This was much nicer than our Olds "Delta 88". I'm a geek anyway, but if we could do all those things for a MY '85, my expectations

@veronykah: I have nearly a TB online at Mozy. It was frustrating, but eventually it got up there from my Mac

@Bandit: I actually think that the leak caused a lot of interest to come and go, rather than the reverse. A lot of friends of mine with Macs and iPhones knew the new one was announced, but they didn't know that this was the day and such. The semi-so-what response from many regarding the iPhone 4 after the leak may

@Sprzout: Sure, if you don't protect all the connections into your equipment. I've seen this a lot on modems for sure. If you protect the data lines into the facility/house plus the power connections, surges shouldn't generate over the line within the location.

Ordered on the phone with AT&T Small Business Key Contact. It did take 1:20:00 to order two phones with poor system responsiveness on their end. The person I spoke with was very nice in spite of the very slow systems.

I'm really not sure why people keep saying wired Ethernet is not useful at this point. Wired is going to be better for a long long time if you have something in a fixed location. I understand that not every device can support a wired connection though.

The iPhone shown above is missing HSUPA from the feature set. This was not included in the 3GS and should speed up some communications with the carriers.

People should remember that a spec war misses the point. Much of what makes the iPhone different is in execution. Note everyone likes Apple's brand of execution and instead prefer something more open, while many prefer Apple's extensively engineered software and hardware.
