This. I've been reading reviews since yesterday and it sounds really, really bad - not even sure if I want to hate-watch it

god damn it 2021

Now playing

William Eyelash’ is a reference to this:

Still not sure that it qualifies as ‘not enough material’ - the author of the recap makes it sound as if it’s The Hobbit or something.

Not enough material? 300 pages? What are you even talking about? My edition without any followups is 784 pages long. There’s PLENTY of material to cover, it’s just that they’re not interested in half of it for some reason (I stopped watching largely because of so much unnecessary stalling)

I’m a native Russian speaker, and my first thought was the same - ‘exhausted’ would make perfect sense here, I’m not sure why people see it as something Slavic and not simply as a confusion of two vaguely similar words. I’m not aware of any expressions like that in Russian or Ukrainian, at least.

To the “why are we not taking his allegations seriously” crowd: yes, dummies, women can be abusive too. However, the timing of his post is very conspicuous. Why did he wait a full year to share this? Why did he post it specifically after Melissa announced the birth of her baby? It’s a super fucking vulnerable moment,

The fact that he still couldn’t keep his mouth shut DESPITE HER NOT EVEN CALLING HIM BY NAME tells me everything I need to know. I liked them as a couple, but there was always something shady about their split. Honestly, fuck him.

Ratajkowski’s story made me nauseous. I actually hope that one day she will be able to sue this MF :(

“Reps for Marie Claire did not respond to Jezebel’s request for comment by publication time.”

Roman Polanski” and “due process” in the same sentence, isn't it hilarious

Oh, so after years of hating Taylor Swift, Anne Hathaway, and Kristen Stewart Jezebel and its commentariat have finally found a woman of color to hate.

This this this. I really loved how they depicted the situation and how nuanced it was.

Fuck. These poor girls.

I watched ten episodes already and I can’t wait to see the last two. I know that this is a tired comparison, but it feels like a really good novel - so I’d respectfully disagree about the pacing. Coel masterfully plants seeds of what’s to come, but you just have no idea when and how something would come up again. The

The whole interview is amazing. I think I’ve just become an even bigger fan of hers.

Is it Waiting for Gal Godot now? Also, who is Kristin Wigg? I wonder how Amy Adams survived your spelling.

The 1996 version is one of my all-time favourites, and I find almost everyone perfect in it, including Paltrow (I generally like her a lot as an actress, and oh how I wish she could just stick to acting)

Um, I don’t agree at all. I didn’t like the original movie that much (the only thing that saved the protagonist from being a completely unwatchable asshole was that he had John Cusack’s face), and I’m not a huge fan of Nick Hornby’s writing in general. But I honestly loved this version, and it felt super relatable to

I had the same impression after reading She Said - they make it rather clear that Paltrow is still traumatized after working with Weinstein (which does not look at all surprising, given that when he showed up at her house after learning that she had been speaking to the journalists, she had to hide in her bathroom).
