I mean, in 24 hours he goes from staging photos around town to suddenly, kinda, maybe pulling out? And everyone is very publicly devastated? Sure.
But if you focus less on the mother and more on the child, what difference does it make? Are we so intent on punishing people to the fullest that we’ll sacrifice a baby’s well being, knowing that the detrimental effects of premature separation are long-lasting? Denying infants the ability to stay with their mothers…
I said this in another article- if I were her, I’d be hiding in a W.H. closet on a burner cell hiring a competent legal team and getting publisher bids for a tell-all. She’d probably make more money post-divorce than he actually has now.
As we’re learning, there are ways around those, especially if his lawyers are all equally bad.

I’m childfree too, and in the same boat. The reason I don’t want to be with a father is because I think fatherhood is a lifelong commitment, not just something you wait out until the kid is 18 and you can stop sending child support. If a man think it’s less than that, I really can’t respect him.
