His statement is really stupid, because it doesn’t have to be one or the other. She know’s she’s lying AND saying whatever it takes to be on T.V. Cutting her off is the only punishment that will even make a difference to her. She doesn’t give a rat’s ass about telling the truth. 

Shit, the heroin is already there in the prison; it would be a lot simpler to just bribe a guard.

I read this morning that they would typically be fined and placed on unpaid suspension for a few days or weeks.

I have a friend who does this. She lives the ultimate academic lefty life and doesn’t talk a lot about her time in the military, so when people make assumptions she shuts it right the hell down.
