Sorry but no. If it’s wrong to out private citizens, and private citizens have the right to choose how/when they come out, and to whom, then public figures are afforded the same right. We don’t get to pick and choose which sets of rights apply to which sets of people.

Genuine question: why would one need to use any prefix at all? It’s a story about pumping breast milk...why can’t one just say “police officer”? Barring a situation where the woman specifically needs to be identified as female, isn’t obvious that women are the ones who have to pump? Why not just identify her

What a brat. Private rooms are really for two things—acutely communicable diseases (TB, C-Diff, etc) and cardiac/respiratory arrest. I don’t really even know who this guy is and now I sure won’t bother to find out.

The son is well into adulthood already, in his 40s, I believe. It’s nothing to do with gender.

My father always told me to build up savings first, at least 4 months and ideally 6+ and then once that money is socked away, to defer contributing to that and put as much extra money as possible to debt. And then once the debt is paid down, back to building the cushion.

This is extraordinarily practical advice, and I never understand how my married friends are comfortable combining EVERYTHING.

So all of those COPD patients in nursing homes who live on chronic O2 should be put down? All the people who have muscular dystrophy who need braces to walk? You really don't think people who need medical adjuncts from birth should LIVE?!

I’m not a nurse, but a paramedic. I work primarily 911 service as well as advanced level transfers from our local hospital to their large parent facility in town.

We...used to sing this at summer camp in the mid 90s. When we were no more than 11 or so. There were other chants that were equally depraved and I'm 95% certain the British councillors thought it was hilarious.
