My polling place is an elementary school and always has a "take what you want, pay what you want" bake sale. This year there was also pizza. Nom. My wait time was only 20 minutes though, so I just grabbed some treats on the way out.

UGH. I remember when I took my kitties to get fixed at the ASPCA van (as part of their adoption requirement). People walking by would ask what was going on and one guy got SO offended that we would fix these animals and kept talking about how he would NEVER do that to his dog.

12-year-old me cried and cried when Clinton was elected. I grew up in a VERY conservative part of Texas (there are parts/people who aren't!) and just thought that it was the end of the world.
