Dear Dr Nerdlove,
Dear Dr Nerdlove,
Being respectful to women=being pussies. And yet they don't know why everyone hates them. Fascinating.
Good point. There's also the fact that by Wednesday, most people will have plans for the weekend already. I'm thinking about the weekend by Monday.
Wine Spectator weighs in on both questions. I rarely see sediments in wine, and if I do, it's usually a bad bottle and others in its vintage don't have any. They say sediment usually occurs around the 10 yr mark.
I try the name thing. I think of it being written over their head like CGI or tinkerbell or something. I remember maybe a few more names with this technique. But I think it helps because I'm so focused on the person, which your article already pointed out.
It's definitely different for everyone because the circumstances are different and how we internalize them are different. I spent about 16 years in a screaming, insulting, verbally abusive household. We never did anything as a family because everyone hated each other. No one had any friends because we all hid in…
Thanks for the article. I too thought people had "passion" and "drive" and all the other fun magical stuff we think other people have. I've never been one to love the process, I love the end result. I'm off to your other article about "the process" now.
Until then, I'm just going to go with the old standard of "A wizard did it".
Is this specifically the Milky Way galaxy?
I always thought anime had a thing for military stuff. I've been watching Valkyrie Chronicles so that might have something to do with it. (Though the one where she looks evil and has a cat bell around her neck is....weird.)
It can be a reason, just not an excuse. You can say somewhere at sometime it might have been evolutionary advantageous to be like that. That doesn't give you an excuse to touch me.
You don't have to hear most of the words in a sentence because you can use knowledge of yourself, the other person, your surroundings, and the situation you're in to quickly piece together what they said from just a few words. It might take a little practice, and certainly works better with people you talk to more…
I think it's unbearably rude. What you describe as "social" is "butting into my business without my permission and annoying me." People only care for about 5-10 minutes and not in any helpful way at all. Please take other people's feelings into consideration before deciding that your needs (social) should be met…
There is no excuse. Don't touch me. Mind your own business.
They don't *believe* in supernova. j/k I did cough a few times just for states like that. "Evolution is (cough cough cough cough cough)."
Being a woman online means listening to "suck my dick" and "fuck you cunt" in the same sentence.
I usually try to talk about a subject that is interesting to the other person. So I talk geek to the other geek people at work, I talk about other normal office type topics to others, and some I just avoid. Because they are boring.
I played Soul Caliber online and had to report just about every person I played with. That was 3-5 years ago and I haven't bothered online since. It's worse being a woman.
I was waiting for this.
This is really cool. I hate not knowing when someone's due home. In addition to scheduling dinner or other plans, I automatically assume that they're dead in a ditch somewhere (or car broke down, you get the point).
