Excellent example. I can remember trying out a DW2 in-store demo and feeling amazed as I ran around crushing people while snow was falling on the screen.

I'm having the same issue on Xbox Live. Apparently you are supposed to select a car for a race but that option has not popped up. I'm still able to run around but the first mission trigger is missing.
Aside from the camera, I don't see how it was so different from Steam or Origin. They just presented it as this Orwellian monolith that would control things, which was a pretty poor attempt at making it attractive.
Sadly, the Xbox One comic is right. MS came out with some interesting/different features but man did they screw up the marketing on that. Now we just have more powerful current-gen consoles.
I was going to make my own guess as to how this is possible, but that would mean I didn't learn anything from the thread. My mind is kind of blown though.
These types of games are still appealing to me, but now they aren't the only option out there and I think that is fueling the growing crowd that find these AAA titles aren't that appealing. In my opinion the publishers are on the way towards making these big games more appealing by taking out online passes and using…
I agree, this video didn't do any favors to next-gen games the way the video was rendered.
GameStop has at least 10 years of runway left in its core business
X3 had a hell of a learning curve, I'm hoping this one isn't so recalcitrant to new users.
I feel like the corpse run one is pretty accurate. If the AI can offload 4 cities onto the player at once, there is a chance the unhappiness from the new cities drags the player down a bit. Gold does nothing.
I don't see why they didn't hire this guy to rescue the kid in Jurassic Park III. He can navigate this island like a pro! Also, that traveling music is pretty catchy.
Considering what happened with the cloud sync, I don't think having a SO and downloading Zoosk would have went over so well for me. Well you see.....I had to download an app to get online and.....
I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how the Kinect 2.0 face-mapping feature is utilized by developers. The most memorable one for this gen was Rainbow Six Vegas 2, I put a snow cap on that had flames on the edges and it translated to my face looking like it was on fire from the forehead on up. I don't think it…
It's usually in that one turn when you are thinking "hey this ain't so bad", so you move the warrior and find out you are right next to Montezuma. CURSES!
If you select "restart game" on the first turn, it generates another start. Move and unit and you have to go through the set-up again though.
I believe he was.
I don't expect I'll feel the difference between the two systems until I get up to my virtual elbows in Xbox One's guts later this year. I'm beginning to understand why our first introduction to the Xbox One focused on cable TV and streaming video and second-screen tech — it's the experience between and beyond the…
I'm glad the author chose some social media based examples in there because there I have never had an SO that had an interest in gaming, so it was all lost on me.
I just found my Homeworld 2 disc the other day. I'm going to give it a whirl and see how time has treated it. I really dug the way that campaign missions built on the previous one, you'd have all the veteran units and armada that were built up from the mission prior. Something I haven't seen a lot of RTS games do.
