I loved my Dreamcast growing up, and can’t tell you how excited I was to play Shenmue when it first came out. That lasted all of half an hour, and by the time a full hour had gone by I was so frustratingly bored I almost cried. I told myself it was just the poor controls that were ruining it for me and it’d be okay…

lol oh you were definitely playing it right. To be fair, the first 2 were far less silly with the sidequests, so if you ever get curious again the Kiwami versions are available.

Pre-ordered this last week, should arrive today. I had the first game on Dreamcast and honestly, the controls were so terrible I just couldn’t deal. Now that they have modern controls added, I’m beyond excited to get into these (Yakuza is my fave game series ever, so I do believe they’ll be up my alley).
