Lotus. Because I'm a sucker for the underdog and would hate to see them fail, and because someone needs to keep screaming "Simplify, then add lightness" at management until they actually do.

This is precisely the reason for alphanumerics. Few except for those in the know will rattle off S60 T6 AWD, so they just say "Volvo". Much like MKZ is a mouthful, so you just say "Lincoln". And no one was particularly attached to Zephyr, either.

Not particularly surprised by this. I spent a good deal of my interwebs time on InsideLine before I discovered Jalopnik. Then I realized the editors weren't seeking out original content for their "Straightline" blog, but grabbing most of it from this very site. Plus, the long-term used cars and the long-term

Didn't know they had asshats in Marin County. Most granola-grippers aren't this pretentious.

Sweet . . . good ol' SB made it on Jalopnik on the heels of an irresponsible teenager behind the wheel of a 'Stang.

Looks like the much-maligned Saab Trailblazer.

I completely agree with you, but the government isn't in the business of forcing people what to buy (yet) in the auto marketplace. Automatics are easier to drive, by default, especially in traffic. The majority of people, given the choice (and traffic), will opt for the automatic. And that's generally A LOT of

Volvo is indeed catering to their market. No one is buying the things, so why go to the trouble of importing them, then forcing dealers to sell them below their cost?

I'm wondering the same. No one seemed to answer you question in the last Volvo-related post.

It's (at a minimum) a 12-year-old car. Not to be mean, but what did you expect?

Sanata Barbara is hardly similar to San Francisco in geography. Santa Barbara has two major hills (the Mesa and APS), neither of which have the extreme grades or topography similar to SF. And that picture of UCSB and Goleta you have there shows how flat the Goleta Valley (Yes, we call it a valley. Somehow mountains

Echoing an02wrx, they killed the V6 for the new model.http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_shows/los_angeles/1211_2013_toyota_rav4/

They didn't do the adaptive cruise either . . .

Pretty much. Invert the lower front clip, make the headlights taller (already done and back with the 911), and you've got yourself a brand new car!

Good lord. This fascination with fake stitched leather on the dash has got to stop. At least it was relatively restrained in the Camry.

Not hardly. The upgrades spec'd in the article are after heavy modification to the engine (rods, pistons, valves) and AWD by Polestar. The horsepower bumps by Polestar are available for 2006 and on cars.

I, too, have witnessed her in all of her 4'8", 75 lb, washboardiness of glory. And it wasn't much to look at.

So much win.

Quite a few used cars. 2006 and on.

I thought there were no roads in the future . . .
