Just watched their final stream. So very sad to see them go.

Totally agree and I also think that I’m part of the problem for the same reasons. I hope Huber, Ben, Bosman, Brandon and Bloodworth get together to start their own thing.

Boo! This really is sad... I always enjoyed their coverage. :(

This one really hits me on a personal note.

Words cannot express how sad I am to learn that GT is closing down its doors. I remember discovering the website back in 2007 (i.e. the year that defined the seventh and subsequent console generations) when I was still in middle school. Their reviews of The Orange Box, Mass Effect, and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

Wtf, not even moved to YouTube reporting/videos, but straight up let go? But I wanna watch TABLETOP ADVENTURES GOOD DAMN IT!!!

They will be doing one last twitch stream, 6PM PT. Don’t miss out!

I love Kyle Bosman and Pop Fiction. I’m sooooo sad.

But what does this mean for the Final Bosman? :(

Honestly, this is sad to read. I really wished them the best to all the staff at GT.com

In many ways, and this is rather reductive but I promise not in a way to be demeaning, I feel like reviews are sales-pitches in which the review tries to convince you that it’s “accurate” or “right” about something by presenting a clear, concise view of the thing being reviewed.

Gametrailers was the first site where found out about Angry Nintendo Nerd...and had to download .mov files from his website to watch episodes, since there was no Youtube back then. Also great source of HD trailers for coming HD consoles (X360 and PS3) before Youtube could play HD... guess that Gametrailers just are

When it was bought and that major change a while back i was not really a much of a fan (i really missed Invisible walls) but it did start to win me around, but i noticed there videos were getting more sporadic of late. Hopefully they can all band together and start a new site.

I would download every single review, even when I was not into the game or the genre at all, and watch them during lulls at work just so I could listen to their insightful observations. Truly this is a great loss for gamers.

Aww man. I’ve always liked this site. Thanks for all the good times!

Does anyone feel that websites are becoming obsolete and everyone is just doing the Youtube channel thing? How long can IGN.com go on? It seems quaint these days.

They should continue you make their original content on YouTube. GT has some great content.

nooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No way, Gametrailers is fantastic. I used to watch their reviews all the time. Plus their shows, like Levels, GT Top 10, Timeline, GT Retrospectives and Pop Fiction were awesome. It was also the place that intoduced me to Screwattack and AVGN.

Why not continue to make videos on YouTube then? I loved their reviews. Sorry to see them go.
