That is so illegal. Like, federal law illegal. I just want to put this out here for anyone who finds themselves in this situation today: get yourself to the EEOC and file a complaint. Employers are NOT allowed to ask that question.
dude, put down the cheetos. they will be your death.
I’ve just started using “woman” and “womankind” instead. I can’t wait to get an opportunity to do it in front of someone who wants to call me out. Then I plan to insist that it's gender neutral and look at them like they're stupid.
I hope you hired that guy. Maybe it would make me a terrible hiring manager but that shit reads as both “earnest” and “terrible liar” which are two traits I'd want on staff.
They make engagement rings in “removable” now, but thanks for playing.
That's where I thought it was going as well. That or potential pregnancy soon. So offensive.
With larger rings, the assumption was supposedly that you were more likely to ditch the job after the wedding because a woman with a rich husband was less likely to care about her career.
can’t wait til a pantsuit wearing woman gets elected to the highest office in the land! *knocks on wood, crosses self, dances over cracks in sidewalks, throws pinch of salt over left shoulder*
This sucks so much. I’m one of those “crazy ultra-feminazis” and also getting my MBA and I’ve literally had people in powerful positions of authority tell me to never wear an engagement ring to a job interview because the recruiter will automatically assume a woman is only going to be with the company until they have…
Sending all the good thoughts to the women of Ireland. I hope that women continue to stand up and say that they had an abortion, and it was the right choice for them. It is so hard, but it humanizes the issue.
That’s only if Canada manages to get their wall up before the mass exodus in November.
I’m a pale olive. Like super green but also very fair. It’s annoying. But! If you’re ok with powder foundation I can recommend the indie brand Meow Cosmetics. They make powder foundations and concealers from pale to deep olive (and every other undertone, too - it’s awesome).
Yo! This! I’m on the luckier end when it comes to makeup because I’m lightskinned mixed/black which means its easier for me to find foundation close to my skintone because most lines have a pity “caramel” color. But damn it if I don’t have about 4 different foundations I don’t use because they’re too pink or too…
I use the green toned concealer from the Sonia Kashuk concealer palette from Target all the time. Maybe look into it? It blends in so well for me.
Isn’t it? And it’s actually really cool that ABH used male models, too. They seem really committed to diversity and representation, which I dig.
I too am green-grayish undertone (keep all pastels away from me), but I’m afraid I don’t have any recommendations because I just don’t wear make-up. Foundation is too tricky, mascara dries out my already dry eyes, it’s just too much work. I have shiny lip-stuff but that’s about it.
I tend to go a little more golden than olive, but I’m right between the two and it’s a pain in the ass to find foundation that doesn’t make me look like a monster. So, you’ve got my sympathies. Few ranges carry true olive toned products, but the ABH stuff looks really promising! The foundation just launched the other…
She’s from Philly.
None of this is funny. However, the fact that she majored in multicultural marketing is funniest thing I have read on this site in a while. IF she graduated, she needs to hand that degree back..
