For a while (2008-2010) there was a large MB dealership in Westchester county NY that put AMG badges on the trunks of C300s with the AMG styling package, the factory didnt do this. It was always an older lady or man that really didnt look like car ppl driving these cars so i dought they put the badges on themselves.
