Then the show wouldn’t be called Y: The Last MAN
It’s been a minute since I read it, but I recall there was a faction of survivors who were felt better off without men. So, they burned all those locations down.
I was really against the whole “Bringing Palpatine back” aspect when RoS came out, but looking back, it wasn’t that bad an idea. There is a reason why it’s the first thing Dark Horse did when they got the license in the 90s. It fits the character of Palpatine to have plans to cheat death.
That’s probably very low on the “holy shit” bar with regards to time travel. Go back another 20 something years before Coke was invented with then over the counter class B drugs in its recipe, and people were still buying other people.
Mikey (still?) like it!
Did he not have a lit up LED on the cam showing him it was recording??!!
No, us kids were junk food junkies because it was a rare ‘treat’.
I remember reading a while ago that there are two different companies that make Girl Scout Cookies, and one of them changed all their recipes and now they taste like ass, but the other one is still making the original recipes. But it’s basically a crap shoot which one you get.
well at least there are way fewer of them in the box now
I sometimes get a craving for the taste of early 90s taco bell beef tacos and it's nothing like the version today. I'm pretty sure when Yum bought them they changed the recipe over for the worse.
Agreed. I didnt get any this year, but a few years ago they tasted like cardboard. The mint flavor is there, but I can’t taste ANY chocolate in them anymore.
So much this. The last box I bought had greasy-feeling cookies with far less flavor. Actually, all Girl Scout cookies seem to have gotten less good, but Thin Mints (perhaps because of their position at the top of the Girls Scout Cookie Pantheon) have fallen furthest.
Also, Thin Mints. That may be a trans-fat thing also, but they definitely aren’t as good as they used to be.
It’s crazy how quickly VFX technology is evolving. ILM can spend tens of millions of dollars developing custom software to achieve a specific effect, and six months later some kid is beating them at their own game on a $3,000 gaming computer.
Good for them. It's always nice to see someone succeed at their passion.
I wonder what the end product will look like when they fill in the sequence gaps with frog DNA.
We tend to credit ourselves with driving species to extinction, but there’s a possibility that some birds really, really like these butterflies and ate ‘em. I understand that we destroyed what we considered to be their habitat, but the amount we knew in the 1950's about habitat was pretty small. Then again, during…
It’s not hydropower that is the problem . It’s living in a desert and wanting to have green lawns and swimming pools.
Of course. It’s very well documented. It picked up the pace during the time of naval empires where great swathes of ancient oaks and other trees were cut down to build ships and clear land for farming.
How do we still allow politicians to hold stocks?
