Marvel: We somehow successfully adapted Guardians of the Galaxy! Now nothing in the realm of superhero comics should be difficult to adapt!

Seriously. When Supergirl debuted some critic mocked that she was saving a plane because Superman has saved planes in his incarnations. But that’s what you want to see. Someone being heroic in a way that that impossible.

It’s like taking the Jesse Eisenberg version of Lex Luthor, and giving him three movies centred around him.

He's aggressively against women's rights, so I wouldn't doubt this has happened more than once.

Aside from Joker, Jared Leto’s version of the character is reportedly getting his own film.

The problem is that the tone set by the Snyder trilogy pretty much poisoned whatever goodwill the DCEU could have generated. Three, or more accurately, two-and-a-half movies full of tedious Randian bullshit, deeply unsympathetic heroes, and the gloomy worldview of a nihilistic middle-schooler. The DCEU failed utterly…

I just don’t see the problem recasting Superman and carrying on.

Whenever I see something from Lena Dunham, it just reminds me that I never, ever, ever, ever need to see anything featuring her and also:

white people have no problem getting parts. minority people do. when white people get a role written /for/ a minority, they’re taking away one of the few parts they have available too them.
