Yep. It was actually bad.
There are other issues with it. Namely, it’s not that good a movie AND it’s really “all about the men”. It’s grossly historically inaccurate in a way that erases black female slaves who did revolt.
Saw it. It’s actually mediocre during it’s best parts.

The major issue I have with this movie - not being white or black myself - isn’t just the inaccuracy. It’s the fact that women are treated as a historical plot device in the film. They are essentially “fridged” so the men’s anger can be righteous.
