Fantastically put. The first time I heard the song Lazarus was Michael C Hall & the session band from the Lazarus musical's rendition on Colbert, and even then, listening to it had me thinking "This is Ziggy all over again. This is Bowie embodying something, someone else beyond simply himself as a person or performer."

No love for Neil Young's session? The versions of "Transformer Man" and "Long May You Run" were exquisite, and "Like A Hurricane" with Nils Lofgren on accordion is as perfect example of how transformative (in a good way) the concept of the show was for the performer's material.

Re: Cap's "to do list" at the start of the film, they had it contain different things in each country the film screens in. In Korea the list includes Oldboy and soccer star Park Ji Sun, while here in Britain it included Sean Connery, the 1966 World Cup final and Sherlock.

David Caruso leaving NYPD Blue anyone?
