The EK9 isn’t old enough to be considered a classic yet IMO. Also, I never said I would buy a new one, I wouldn’t it’s hideous. I’d buy an EK9 a dozen times before I bought one of these. Just because it’s bigger and faster doesn’t mean I think it’s better.

I’ll give you a preview:

I’d like to know what the chassis differences are between something like the same year Si. In the past Type R’s have had certain areas of the chassis reinforced via stitch/seam welding so they could add stiffness without adding weight.

“Offensive touching of a police officer”

I’m curious, I see all these people posting street racing videos and claiming they are in “Mexico.” At first I thought it was just playful joking, but I see it all over Facebook, YouTube, and other media sites.

You might want to do actual research on lithium “mining” as only a very small percentage of it is actually “mined.” Most of it is extracted from water in a fairly clean process.

Disposal of the batteries? Who would just throw away a perfectly good battery? EV batteries are being recycled and repurposed, they aren’t

I’m not whining, not even a little bit. Tires are worth every penny.

Once you start modding the car, you often need to get wider tires, bigger wheels to fit bigger brakes, etc. Most people who buy GTS-T’s or GT-R’s are going to modify them.

Ummmmm, no?

The only Trofeo R’s you are getting out the door (tax or shipping included) for $800 are for 15" size wheels. The size that would have been correct for my old R32 GT-R (265/40/18) would be $1580 before shipping from TireRack for a set of 4. Include shipping and a mount/balance and you are looking at

This is why I’m moving my family out of the city. We are just outside of Seattle, and with the population boom we are experiencing, our house has increased in value about 250k in the three years we’ve been living here. Going to sell it, and move into an equally priced house about an hour north of Seattle. But that

Its really not needed though. People have been pressure washing their engine bay for years without covering anything except exposed air intake parts and it causes no problems. You can spray the battery, the alternator, etc, and it will be fine. I know its an endless topic of debate, but its never done anything bad

I want to build a GSR replica, that’s the ultimate itasha.

You’re one of those people that says “I got hit by a Prius and my ‘72 Buick didn’t even look like it had been in a wreck, that Prius was trashed!” All while completely not understanding what is good and bad in a crash.

The tires aren’t really that expensive, $150/ea unless you go through the dealer, then around $200/ea. No more than a decent summer tire for a sporty car.

That’s a wrap, not the OEM Protonic Blue. They didn’t start offering the blue until 2017 (they dropped Solar Orange, the color of my old i3).

It does not, it never has. That was marketing BS from BMW salespeople. It’s 0-30mph time is almost a second slower than the M3. It’s just easier, no launching, no worrying about revs or bogging, just floor the pedal. Source: just turned in my i3 lease a few weeks ago.

Depends on who you ask. I have picked up my son from elementary school in my Lola T70 Spyder replica a few times, some of the dads thought it was cool, and I got a few “woah cool car!” from the kids. I’ve also picked him up from school in my wife’s orange i3 a few times. The kids loved it, tons of looks and comments,

You’re missing one major thing throughout this whole discussion thread. Beauty!

No, bitching about stance is and always will be perfectly acceptable.

I’m not a big drifting fan, but just think about it as a show of skill, not just “looking good.” It takes incredible skill in car control to be inches away from another car, sliding sideways on a road barely one lane wide, all while spinning your rear tires in a huge smoke show, and not crash.
