I totally agree with this. I find that when I drive my GFs car (an automatic), putting the pedal down will give you maximum speedage (technical term) because it downshifts and gives you all the power it can, whereas in any of my manual cars, I need to make a conscious decision to downshift from 6th (or whatever) to

In my late 30's or early 40's I got a pre-approved offer from my bank for a $50,000 car loan. “Hah!” I thought, “I would never spend that much money on a car!”.

It’s okay, I probably have way more money than you.

As much as I’m of the mindset that people should drive whatever they want, that doesn’t stop me from thinking people like you are douchey as fuck.

Somewhat agree. A Unimog is the ultimate automotive fuck you, in my humble opinion. That’s a serious truck.

The G is the ultimate automotive FUCK YOU, but for people who know cars. Yeah a lifted bro truck rolling coal is the obvious choice, but a true connoisseur wants to leave the valet and pass someone in a 3-ton 500hp twin turbo v8 shoe box (g63) at 130 in truly awful seats, yet somehow unrivaled luxury and panache.

I work at a Mercedes Dealer and drive G-Wagons regularly, I love how awesome they are and how terrible they are to drive as well. They stop horribly and don’t even get me started on their steering. But fuck do I want one so bad, they are the coolest fucking things ever.

They brag when the engine lasts, they brag when it blows up. Jeep guys, ya know?

Okay so this is what bugged me a little in the video, on more than one occasion he mentions coasting downhill. This is the exact opposite of what you need to do. Getting good fuel economy is all about minimising your average throttle opening for the duration of the journey. By coasting downhill that then means you

I thought this was going to be really stupid, then I saw this part

exclusive: yet another commenter blows smoke out their ass without looking at the research. here, let me do the work for you:

If you had invented it correctly, we wouldn’t have had to fix it.

British “Really Specialty” tools. The trick is that they actually choose you.

That poor car. It had such a good life not so long ago.

So if the camshaft snaps in half while still under warranty, you’re going to replace the engine with another used AM engine from a salvage yard instead of heading to the dealer, and have them replace it with a new or remanufactured unit?

So close to finishing and then I see this trash.

It’s too easy in this country to get a mustang. These cars aren’t meant to drive, they’re for killing as many pedestrians as possible, we need stronger vetting to ensure these don’t fall into the hands of “mustang drivers....”

And as Spy Hunter has taught us .. only the oil slick is the effective defense.
