This. Just taking a drive for no reason used to be a pleasure....until Katrina when gas rocketed up a $1/gallon in one day and never fully recovered. Sure we flirt w/ sub $2.00/gal now & again, but took driving from something to do to a necessary evil. And despite “adjusted for inflation this...” or “In Europe

Had an ‘86 as my first car. Originally my moms...who sold it to a co-worker for his son for $500. 2 years later when he went off to college I bought it back....for $500. 2 years later when I went off to college it was sold again....for $500. French design + Kenosha build quality. Couldn’t get out of its own way. Brilli

Forgot to add the old *vehicle equipped as shown $26,995 - base model prices should have pics of stripper trim levels

Learn it, know  it, live it

I call it the Spruce Moose. It will carry 200 passengers from New Yorks Idlewild Airport to the Belgian Congo in 17 minutes

Ahh our old Dakota 5.2 - 4x2. Two flatbed rides for Crankshaft Sensor replacements. When running we’d get 15 mpg...downhill. The back end breaking loose at the slightest instance of moisture. Useless as a nipple on your elbow in the snow. After 2.5 years of ownership we got as much as we paid on a trade-in...that was

“Fair” is subjective. The better question is are they looking make a deal to move them, or the 1.5's scattered about the country. If Honda dealers play to the stereotype then no - they’ll hold firm to sticker and let them languish for months until the buyer comes along

“We will not be receiving the 2021 Volkswagen Arteon R”....considering VW’s complete lack of ad push. Most of America was never made aware that we received the 2019 & 2020 Arteon either.

$4700 - CP

As for the Accord manual...I blame the dealer from my experience. Cars.com is far from comprehensive - but shows 1 new manual Accord within 100 miles of Philly. They are/were rare as hens teeth on lots. My wife has purchased 2 Hondas (ironically both a Fit & HRV) from the same dealer. They had a stick 2019 Sport

Mitsubishi motors is like chlamydia. Every time its mentioned you need to remind yourself that its still a thing

You give them leeway because they’re rolling indicators of sub 550 credit scores & the need for that under-insured motorist provision to your policy because they’re running minimum thru The General.

Said affiliation was touched on a few years back under “Camry Dent” which remains prevalent to this day. Overlapping venn diagram of owners that A) don’t really care about their vehicle on any level (appearance or maintenance) and/or B) lacking in the basic operations & parking ability department

Similar story from the late ‘90s. Sat in a First Gen stripper Impreza stashed on the back of the lot ($189/mo ad special) - no head unit but it was wired and had speakers in the door panels. Remember my dad laughing the he hasn’t seen a radio delete since 1971 when he bought his Javelin

I see it yet I don’t. Sat in one waiting for the salesman to tetris out a CPO Cadenza from the front row to test drive. Was it nice? - Very. Was it pay sticker price nice? - Nope. Was it wait 6 months nice? - again No. Validates that car buying is purely emotional for a substantial slice of the market.

As other commenters have said - it’ll come down to pricing. Undercut the Wrangler out of the gate by a healthy delta, and the Bronco will do more than fine.  Quick check on the 3 closest CDJR dealers to me shows the lowest stickered Wrangler Unlimited at $41K...and they don’t need to put much cash on the hood to move.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I’m with isn’t it, and what’s it seems weird and scary to me, it’ll happen to you.

So let it be written, so let it be done

Narrow CP - 4wd/awd is a must in the spare/winter vehicle in our household. Like others said, decent deal for a tow rig - just not for us

Maybe its not really a minivan
