Rocket Science: "I've seen worse!"  I might be mis-remembering, but it seems like that and Igby tried to ride the tails of Rushmore commercially and failed.

I watched one episode of that show and it was a lot of men wearing suits on boat decks looking nervous.

I saw him as a bad guy in an episode of M Squad; Lee Marvin kicked his ass.

Good Lord, Willis looks like Walter White in that picture.  (Always loved this movie.)

Thanks, Garrison.

I had college roommates who watched it.  I remember battles took like a week.  so . . . . . sloooooooooooooooooooooooooow

I endorse these suggestions.

FLAGGED for misspelling "Entwistle"

I think group reading (or college) may be the way to go with some of these.  That's how I got through both of those Tolstoy novels and Middlemarch.  (The other 3 you mention I read on my own).

I attribute my sense of whimsy to this show.  Totally delightful, and out of print on DVD in the USA for some stupid reason.

To piggyback on  @avclub-a93a879594c13c12a83fd45ab289a022:disqus - David (Gruber) Allen as himself.

"We'll be on The Old Grey Whistle Test in, I dunno, a few weeks or so."

Kevin Shields probably thinks that Alan McGee's Creation Records still exists, so . . .
