He was into Leia in both SW and Empire. It was reasonably clear that Luke dug the ladies, at least before he went into the priesthood.

I think Poe makes sexy bedroom eyes at whoever is standing in his path. He’s a sexy motherfucker and he knows it.

Except for the “screen-chemistry” tests that Boyega had been doing with Gina Rodriguez and Gugu Mbatha-Raw a few months ago.

There isn’t, but not because Boyega is black. The chemistry is definitely besties for all time, but I don’t see romance at all.

Fin and Rey have excellent buddy chemistry, but zero romantic chemistry.

In fairness though, I think Oscar Isaac gives that look to *everyone*. I don’t think he can control it, even if he wanted to.

Fin and Rey have “buddy” chemistry for sure, but not romantic chemistry.

You can have a wistful, sad-yet-comic beat where Poe gets a little sentimental over Fin and Fin has to awkwardly declare that he “likes him, but doesn’t like-like him”.

All you need is a single domestic scene — someone with their pair-bond at home, saying goodbye as they’re getting deployed, someone coming home after a mission and being greeted, whatever. All the sexuality in SW is by inference with the occasional smooch, but boy you sure know that Luke, Han, and Lando are into…

For SURE. Poe has those bedroom eyes that he flashes all over the place. Rey’s a girl on a mission, she can’t be bothered with the romance stuff right now. Maybe later, when she’s finished with the heavy lifting of restoring the Jedi and saving the galaxy.
