I think that’s part of the joke.
I think that’s part of the joke.
Based on some comments here and elsewhere, here is a legitimate question:
De gustibus non disputandem est.
Why would you think it will be horrible? The guy who wrote it has a pretty solid track record for comedy screenwriting, and the four leading actresses have careers built on their being hilarious. Where is all the static coming from? I legitimately can’t figure that out, other than the instances of blatant sour-grapes…
The manbaby foot-stomping tantrums are so hilarious though!
This current experience is actively fun. What is unclear about that?
But if it did more then it wouldn’t be a joke.
I’m pretty sure that is the joke.
Oh this is so fun! I’m looking forward to this, all the women in the cast are freaking hilarious, this should be a trip!
Fair enough. A credit card hold is almost always charged when renting a car or booking a hotel, so that is effectively a deposit in the way a hold on your money is with a debit card. The difference there is that I can still use my credit card, whereas if all my money is held by the car company or hotel, I’m…
You can’t use a debit card to buy things online, as far as I know, and you definitely can’t use them to do things like make hotel reservations, rental car deposits, etc.
How do black people dress as “white” characters? They don’t put on white-person makeup.
Its confirmation bias. If all you see is Cam behaving “badly” (and I don’t think being visibly upset during a press conference minutes after your dream crumbled under your feet is bad) then that’s what you’ll believe about him. Show the pictures of him smiling broadly at Manning (who himself stomped off the field…
Cam gave Manning a big hug and a smile. There are photos of it all around.
Except that its true. You cannot know what it feels like to see someone you love with a bullet hole in their head until you see someone you love with a bullet hole in their head.
I feel like I’m the only person in the universe who doesn’t see and has never seen Mulder & Scully as a romantic or sexual pair-bond. I see their deeply-connected chemistry, but no romantic chemistry. Like, zero.
I totally have a crush on him now.
It either started on Sundays or moved to Sundays later on. It was definitely on Fridays for a while, it was part of my post-college lifestyle ritual: split a bottle of cheap wine and some chicken tacos with my BFF, watch The X-Files, then go out to the bars..
Fridays has long been a genre-TV slot. Back in the day it was The X-Files, then more recently Fringe, and now Grimm. It could be better, but it could be a lot worse (Saturdays at 8).
There are two good episodes, one about the “tooth fairy” that was directed by Guillermo Navarro — who is Guillermo del Toro’s cinematographer so its absolutely beautifully shot, and a pretty decent MOTW story to boot, and the other about berserkers which was really well-written from a character-development perspective…
