I'd rather know for sure on that before he does something that's going to get a lot of people hurt, down the line.

Haha.
Definitely something going on beyond kids being kids, to me.
I hear that, it's definitely another case in which society could be way more fair.
Sounds like you want to make excuses, too, but not for helpful reasons.
Agreed on that for sure.
Oh for sure. But it wouldn't be a valid diagnosis even if I knew the kid, since I'm not a doctor. :D
Until someone tries to check a kid like this, and they're able to rule it out, I feel like it's better to be safe than sorry about things like this. I feel it's a bit too lenient and swept under the rug, like I detailed up above to someone else.
Do you know that for sure though? Like I said to others, not enough info here, and I admit that it might not be the case, but I'd lean toward that because to me, that is not within acceptable bounds, even for mommy & daddy's 'precious flower.'
True.
I can see the nature vs. nurture part of the debate, though. Obvs we don't know what's really going on from the report.
Mehhh, most people I know from back in the day and the now, among kids, generally don't hurl out threats and do these things over fear or inability to easily handle rejection.
Seems to me like this goes way beyond angst and glass cases of emotion, though.
I'd like to know if he's been actually tested, though.
In general, I feel like a lot of 1st world nations don't properly handle mental illness. And with supervision and demonstrated desire to get better, plenty of folks would be able to go on with their day to days without unfortunate incidents.
I knew kids who thought that threats and hoaxes were funny in high school too.
Mental illness? Mental illness. Hope he gets the help to not be like that.
Mind tricked me at first into thinking it was the "opulence, I has it" guy.
I'd hope there would be something that doesn't end in murder and arrest. Or something more tame, like 'special' brownies.
One of my best friends claims he's run into people who adore this film as much as he witnessed here.
