I was willing to forgive the juvenile movies, which at first seemed more self-depricating than mean-spirited (although in retrospect they in fact really weren't), because they alternated with movies of more depth, like "Spanglish" or "Punch-Drunk

How about the Alan Parsons Project's "Eye in the Sky" ripped off by Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now?"
