It’s kind of ironic, though, that Ben “wants to lay waste” to the old ways (i.e. the origins of Star Wars) when he still wants to live in the shadow and up to the standard of Darth Vader. I still feel like this is pretty ridiculous storytelling.

Hot take alert: “The Last Jedi” was a better version of “X-Men: The Last Stand” wherein the director/writer wants to move forward in a new and creative way, but thinks you need to lay waste to the foundation of the narrative set before you in order to do that. Beyond many major plot holes and unanswered points between

Strictly speaking, this sounds like a horrible idea for a novel and/or movie. Based on your assessment here alone, I find it at best mildly disturbing.

He’s utterly destroyed all three of these young men’s futures on the court. Utterly destroyed.

Honestly, on the Aquaman/MoS connection, I thought it would just be that his mother was, too, named Martha.

I thought they were finally coming back to the present with more content than the occasional Easter egg. This series is officially stale, even with the combat system and the RPG additions. There seems to be nothing left for them to do. They should take a couple/few years away and really think through this. How about

I mean, Yahoo! bought Tumblr for no know real reason. ESPN doesn’t strike me as corporation making the sharpest or smartest decisions right now, TBH.

I’m really curious about the direction this movie takes because, from the teaser, it seems to differ in quite a few ways from the novel. It could be that this is more of an “inspired by” situation with some similarities. That’s not a bad thing in the least, just different. Then again, it’s just a teaser. We have a lot

Yeah, the new “This Season On Star Trek: Discovery” promo disagrees with you. It’s all about war with the Klingons.

When? WHY? We haven’t had a new show in...16 years? Why would there consistently be or need to be new shows jumping that far into the future? Once you’ve set up a new canonical future within the timeline, you wouldn’t need to do that. The new shows - if there were more shows- can all exist in the same timeline.

I get what you’re saying, but there’s a happy medium. Keep some of the color schemes and patterns. Give nods to the original designs the way Nu-Trek does. Or, make it farther in the timeline, post-Voyager. Then you can create all new types of canonical pieces. This is basically NEW Nu-Trek. It’s fantastic. It will be

Right?!?! Seriously, what is going on at IO9? Do they really just hate Seth that much?

For a prime-time network show, given the audience, nuisance and delicacy of the material at hand...this is pretty darn good. It actually, in a sincere attempt at a positive representation, exposes a viewership to the issue who would likely not have a critical discussion of any kind on it otherwise. It’s not perfect,

I mean...did you actually watch the show? It’s not a parody. They didn’t properly sell it at all. It’s a tribute with blue collar jokes. It’ll find it’s way if people give it time. DS9 was damn near unwatchable early, and TNG really wasn’t that good either. Picard was a complete jackass in the first season. Comparing

Inhumans STILL looks terrible to me. Like bad. I originally said things didn’t look that bad, and I was wrong. This looks painfully cheesy/B-movie or TV quality. I hope I’m wrong, but this feels like a serious miss for Marvel/Disney/ABC.

Thought I was the only one who hates the Flash’s outfit. CW Flash’s suit is infinitely better.

“...but when it comes to Trump, she really isn’t powerful enough to stop the most egregious parts of his administration—yet people keep asking her like she can actually do something about it.” She could choose to not work for him. There isn’t an “Omarosa quota” that needs to be met in the White House or the Trump

I greatly appreciate the Peter Petrielli reference there. What a shitty roller coaster ride of a character he was.

Actually, I legitimately fell asleep during that movie. I’ve only done that I think twice in a movie before. The other I remember for sure was M. Night’s “Last Airbender,” and I should have just walked out on that one. Was with a group of people, though.

If you think Southern modern day slavery is as fake as dragons, this is where our paths diverge. The point is those types of ills and hateful acts against blacks didn’t go away. They changed, they evolved, they morphed into new things that were horrible, but not nearly as blatantly racist. That’s the issue. We’re
