You may not like drifting. You may not like Tanner Foust. But you have got to watch the driving in that video (I think he starts around the 15 minute mark). The mastery of precision control of that beast is unlike just about anything I have ever seen.

Yep; when my mom wanted to get an RX350, not only Toyota restricted the ‘packages’ available, but Gulf States Toyota further restricted what they would order (or possibly get allocated to the region). We found we could go to Kansas to get a car equipped like she wanted, but then all of them came with AWD and she

Sigh. I miss mine. Bought new of April 98 and sold it with (blown) engine #2 in April ‘12. Daily driver, some track days, other mods to keep it fresh without destroying its usability. The open headers were a mistake though; it was obnoxiously loud. Guy I sold it to shipped it down to Florida and was going to drop

So sorry I just saw this reply - guess I’m a little late? We got it pretty far below invoice.

Why is my story from yesterday still grey?

I just told this story tonight to a friend I haven’t talked to in a while.

Anything with winter tires.

My sister bought a 2016 CX-5 GT less than a week ago. Gorgeous car (dark blue with parchment leather). Very comfortable, safe, good visibility, fun. The dealer was fantastic to deal with and got a great deal (sales manager admitted that Mazda credit helped out as cash price would have been higher - but with 0.9%

Bingo. There is nothing that has the granularity TrueDelta details. Not only that, it is about as real time as you can get besides downloading data directly from the manufacturer or dealers (which we know would never happen).

"negative air pressure to keep pathogens from entering the cabin"

Wrong. The Boxster driver did a point-by allowing the 911 to pass him. Executed properly too - Boxster driver stayed off the gas so the 911 could get in front of him.

Reaction was spot on - get off the track and make sure your car is OK. One issue though - NEVER use your parking brake after a track session. Sure fire way to seize up the calipers (or at a bare minimum, warp the rotors).

I had a client in downtown DC for a few months and commuted on Mass Ave - my hours ended up that I got stuck waiting on Cheney's motorcade frequently in the evening. My erratic timing seemed to match his often - except they would stop ALL traffic on Mass and Rock Creek Pkwy for 15 minutes to await his majesty to come

Winglets on an ancient 727? I thought 727s have pretty good short runway performance - maybe those were added to help with heavier cargo?

Ha. Look for a Texas flag on the back of an FR-S. Maybe I'll wear burnt orange so you can find me easier...

Wasn't able to make it out unfortunately - heard there was a great turnout though - see anything interesting?

I believe people really start arriving at 7am. I think Katie's opens at 7am. There is some coming and going. I'm going to try to arrive on the earlier side. Look for a blue FR-S.

I'll be there if I can get my younger daughter up and moving that early (she gets to run around with me tomorrow). I can't stay until 9am as I'm donating blood up in Rockville. I think the crowd there will be a fantastic litmus test for the car.

Katie's Cars and Coffee tomorrow morning?

The FR-S is also doing much better than the more powerful, more expensive, less practical Nissan 370Z. Remind me again how a boost in power is supposed to save this car from failure? (Hyundai doesn't differentiate between Genesis Coupe and Genesis Sedan sales in the U.S., so it's hard to tell how the Toyobaru is doing
