I’m sorry that you had to move because small government conservatives want to control your body. It’s awful.

I am glad the free state of texas has the smaller, less-intrusive government that conservatives have been begging for since the New Deal.

It’s also going to upend access to OB-GYN’s in States that are banning abortions.  This is already happening in Idaho. My OB-GYN in Georgia saw the writing on the wall during the Trump presidency, and moved to NY.

Soon they’ll be dancing.

Not even REMOTELY constitutional.  Although, with the current radicalization of the Supremes, that is small comfort.

I think this is increasingly a GOP tactic. While it might have been a genuine switch, I think it’s an intentional move in many cases these days. In March-April of this year, three people who ran as Dems did a 180, as well as the mayor of Dallas who also did the switch.

I’m sure they have plans to put an end to that nonsense.

Yeah, fuck this despicable person 100%.

Give it time.

Not for long though.

I am usually reluctant to call people evil to quickly, especially because of their political beliefs. But this bitch fits the description to the letter. She lied to a whole state of people that had faith in her and disenfranchised those that needed her. On another note, S.C. Dems better start work on getting that

Doesn’t a LEO need probable cause? So is a policeman seeing a woman pumping gas with a large belly probable enough?

Basically. The 14 Biden-district reps are toast regardless, but at least they can say they *technically* didn’t vote for Jordan. Add on the 10-16 Dem districts being added as part of redistricting lawsuits, and 2024 is going to have to R+10 for the GOP to keep the House.

This is maybe slightly less terrible than Gym Jordan? More likely he’s just as terrible but not yet as infamous. It feels like the hardliners got what they wanted and the “moderates” got to play act like they were making some kind of stand before bending over for Gaetz and the MAGA freaks.

We’re certainly behind Norway (who is at 90%+), but you can thank bizarre American politics and rampant deliberate misinformation for that.

The doctrine of the right to travel actually encompasses three separate rights, of which two have been notable for the uncertainty of their textual support. The first is the right of a citizen to move freely between states, a right venerable for its longevity, but still lacking a clear doctrinal basis.

More like a law to make it illegal to TRAVEL to play 7 card stud with bigfoot. You can technically pull anyone over under suspicion of going to play a card game with a cryptid. And oh, if you were to find (or plant) some evidence of some other crime, well that’s just icing on the cake.

I still don’t understand how this is in any way legal. As long as the person is of legal age I don’t understand how you can tell someone they can’t cross state lines to do something legal in the other state.

After a relatively hot last couple of years, EV sales have cooled off. A lot of American buyers don’t want them

Hey Texas, not sure if you’ve heard yet but women can vote now. Crazy, right?
