I am 31, have less debt and make more money than the person who originally posted. Just because people like us choose to put away money to grow instead of blowing it on a depreciating asset doesn’t mean we can’t buy it, it means we can’t afford it with the goals we made a priority. If your priority was a BWM, then…
Well I kinda rushed into that comment. It’s more like I don’t want to afford a $40k car when they were $30k less than 5 years ago.
I am 39 years old
Millenials, some of which are now 40, only hold 4.8% of all wealth.
He always made sure the cars and SUVs he nabbed were more than eight years old so he wouldn’t have to provide the Long Island junkyard he towed them to with the vehicle’s title when selling it for scrap,
Towing company does illegal, unethical shit, that is news?
Impounding e-bikes just seems kinda dickish to me.
I was more impressed by the airport. How many horses does it take to pull a plane off the ground?
What exactly does it have that any state park/wilderness area in the UP doesn’t already have and better? Or Wisconsin? Can’t camp in the State Park which is in and of itself horrible.
That insipid island full of literally nothing but the boomeriest of Boomer mouthbreathers couldn’t pay me to visit again. The kind of place that thinks fudge shops are culture.
As opposed to the people on regular bicycles tooling around completely ignoring traffic laws? It’s not confined to the idiots on e-bikes; I don’t remember the last time I saw someone on a bicycle actually stop at a stop sign, and the fraction of them that will roll up to a red light where there’s no…

Just boycott the island.
Android Auto and Carplay are free - GM is doing this because they believe there is a $300B (yes, billion) revenue stream there that they should get out of subscription services. Because I want to pay GM a monthly fee for my car’s infotainment system to not suck.
I don’t want a system that works in my car. I want a system that works in my car, and in the grocery store, and in my living room. I will not be loading a GM app onto my phone to do that under any circumstances, and I am ...skeptical...that GM could make a product that has any relationship at all to products from…
I’m not particularly interested in anything GM sells for a whole host of reasons. However, I’ll say this - I wouldn’t buy a vehicle in 2023 that didn’t have Car Play support. I’m not terribly interested in learning a second system just so a car company can avoid a license fee.
We’re looking at replacing an old (read: 15+ yrs old) car. I described this GM ‘choice’ to my family who was looking into the EV Blazers, etc and the immediate feedback: ‘thank you GM for narrowing down the decision for us — you’re out!’
I don’t see myself even considering a vehicle that doesn’t have Android Auto compatibility.
