Well Honda seems to have done it first, and voluntarily. Plus they’re still paying employees. That seems very reasonable to me.

The German auto press has long considered the “Spartanburgers” to be, ahem, the “inferior race” when it comes to building cars.  And now they’re expendible, it seems.

What demand are they trying to meet so desperately; no one is going to be rushing out to buy a BMW for a while

And now a word from BMWs plant manager.

Actually, there’s a big difference between being able to do a thing, and being willing, even using turn signals.

You spelled CTS-V wrong.

The window sticker listing FSD and other options the dealer got from Tesla when they bought the car from them is pretty clear evidence that Tesla acknowledges that the car was sold to the dealer with those options.

No Tesla is just being a dick, the dealer bought the car at auction, verified the FSD and Autopilot were as advertised in the auction, there is a picture in the article the dealer took verifying the functionality. They moved forward and sold is on with the knowledge the functions were there. Tesla said after the fact

I’ve seen the official title to the car that states it was sold to the dealer on 11/15, and the 11/18 date of the audit came from Tesla themselves. It does not appear the dealer is lying about this.

my Bumble profiles... ...chiseled, rippling mass of 6'4" muscle.

Hi there bootlicker.

Does not fucking matter. It was configured with those features and they didn’t own the car when it was ‘flagged’. This is bullshit.

Since this was already a Lemon, it would be safe to assume someone in Steve Lehto’s line of work has already had a client for this car.

But remember, Tesla sold the car on 11/15. When they did the audit, they were no longer the owners of the car.

I see Tesla is now doing with their cars what I used to do with my Bumble profiles. See, I’m not technically lying — you see, I used to be a chiseled, rippling mass of 6'4" muscle.

Oh it'll probably brick itself without regular communication with a certain server. Something like that.

Even worse, they sent out a car with all the features it should have had, then yanked some that they figured they could sell multiple times on the same car.

So Tesla sells a car with a feature to a 3rd party dealer. Someone who is obviously going to sell it.

I’m mad about it and it didn’t even happen to me..... This is pretty horse shit... Essentially Tesla messed up and sent out a car with features it shouldn’t have had, then remotely disabled them.... nah that’s crap. They messed up, they need to eat the cost.

This should be a cautionary tale— Tesla is clearly telegraphing intent to “make life miserable” for owners once these cars go off warranty and off support. Parts will get hard and “keeping the functions I paid for” will get even harder.
